The Bussiere House was built c. 1894, although its settlement architecture of side-gable form, cornice returns, 2/2 windows and wide frieze band indicate an earlier date. The asbestos shingle siding and rebuilt porch are intrusive changes which could be corrected; unfortunately, the new housing development in the space that was part of this house is not correctable. Only a few years ago, sheep grazed in the pasture here. Original owner of the house, Ed Bussiere, was a native of Canada and a woodsworker in the area’s logging operations. The house remains in family ownership.
