Moved here and rehabilitated in 1974 to escape freeway expansion, this upright-and-wing h ouse was built in 1890 at the northwest corner of 11th and D Streets. The upright portion has a front gable, cornice returns, divided frieze band and decorative corner boards. Entrances are both the upright, which has a flat-roofed stoop, and the wing, whose porch is partially enclosed. Brackets decorate the corners, stoop and window shelves. This house is a late expression of settlement architecture and its builder may have been influenced by the adjoining house which was originally located on the southwest corner of 11th and D Streets.
